A Functional Assessment Interview is conducted with teachers and support staff to collect information about the behaviors of concern. In addition to the interview, observations will be conducted to collect behavioral data in the educational environment. Following the collection of data, a behavior program will be developed and will include the following:
- A formal written Functional Behavior Assessment and Positive Behavior Intervention Plan (FBA-PBIP).
- Review of intervention plan with parents, teachers, and support staff.
- Modeling and coaching of intervention plan in the educational setting.
- Provide examples and assist in preparation of any recommended consumable supports along with the plan (i.e., visual schedules, token economies, etc.).
- Follow-up consultation and program monitoring.
For students requiring Comprehensive Care, the BCBA will provide a formal treatment plan including but not limited to: FBA/PBIP, Skill Acquisition Programming (i.e., ABLLS-R), Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Individual Therapy 1:1. Ongoing weekly direct care and consultation will be provided by appropriate clinician and/or behavior technician.
